Enjoying the snow and feeling good can quickly turn bad if basic warnings are not heeded. Here are some useful information, warnings and tips to keep in mind.

WALKING AND MOVEMENT OFF THE BEATEN TRACK
Vogel Ski Resort only guarantees your safety on the groomed trails (assuming you follow the instructions). Movement off the groomed trails is not recommended for anyone who does not have the proper knowledge and equipment to move safely in the snowy high mountains.
SAFE SKIING AND SNOW ACTIVITIES
You can ensure your skiing is as safe as possible by following the written instructions on the ski lifts and ski slopes. Please also follow the FIS rules and the instructions of the ski lift staff and activity leaders.

WEATHER CONDITIONS AND AVALANCHES
In winter hiking and cross-country skiing, in addition to having the right skills and equipment, it is important to understand the weather and snow conditions that affect safe movement on the chosen trail. Vogel Ski Resort is not responsible for accidents that occur off the groomed trails. We recommend you visit the avalanche website for up-to-date information on the risk of avalanches in Slovenia.
THE EFFECT OF ULTRAVIOLET SOLAR RADIATION
Moderate sun exposure is very good for your health, while too much sun exposure has negative consequences for your eyes, skin and immune system. Although UV radiation is on average ten times weaker in winter than in summer, proper precautions are still needed in the high mountains. As UV rays from the sun reflect well off the snow, the dose of UV radiation received in the mountains can almost double. To avoid the unpleasant consequences of prolonged exposure to the sun, we recommend wearing sunscreen, sunglasses and appropriate headgear during your snow activities.
