SKI TOURING ON AND AROUND VOGEL

Ski touring is one of the most beautiful high-mountain winter experiences in Bohinj. The freedom of carving through the snow, breathtaking views, and the excitement of the experience usually turn skiing into a magnificent memory that will stay with you for a long time.

And when you get cold, the Orlove glave Hut is the ideal refuge to warm up your chilled limbs and enjoy a tasty snack.

SKI TOURING SUGGESTIONS

Among the easier ski touring routes are Suha and Rodica - the queen of the Lower Bohinj mountains.

We recommend using the Kratki plaz ski lift and Šija chairlift as starting points.
If you walk from the end of the Šija chairlift to the peak of Šija (approximately 20 minutes), you can descend to the circular cabin cable car Zadnji Vogel, and under suitable snow conditions, all the way to Ukanc.

Popular ski tour destinations also include peaks in the area surrounding Vogel and world-famous tours on Komna. Ski touring (off-piste skiing) can also be practiced outside the designated ski slopes at Vogel, but you do so at your own risk.
