Project: » Establishment of the Zadnji Vogel Panoramic Circular Cable Car «

The project was co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund  as part of the European Union's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, in the amount of € 6,471,498.32.

The main part of the funding was earmarked for the installation of a new panoramic circular cable car, “Zadnji Vogel”. Zadnji Vogel has always been one of the most popular ski slopes. This is one of the reasons why the new cableway is a great asset, replacing a double-seater chairlift that has been around for decades. Our skiers have already enjoyed a better quality of service this winter, with a more comfortable, faster and easier to use cableway, which is also more environmentally friendly.

In cabins with a capacity of up to ten people, the new panoramic circular cable car can transport 1,450 skiers or (in summer) hikers in one hour and can also be loaded with a bicycle. In addition to the “Orlove Glave” chairlift, the new cableway now enriches the summer offer with an additional panoramic ride, which is also part of the High Mountain Theme Route.

In addition to the new cableway, the investment also includes new tourism products: we have built a new cycling trail “Orlove Glave”, a disc golf park at the foot of Orlove Glave, a Children's Park, a five-star experience - Culinary Dinner Under the Stars with a guided stargazing tour of the night sky with a stargazing device, and a High Mountain Hiking Archaeological Trail with digitised information boards that educate us about the characteristics of TNP (Triglav National Park). The trail also leads to the archaeological site of Dolga Planina with a visualisation of life as it once was, and to the new circular cable car that takes you to the Zadnji Vogel mountain, where another archaeological site is located just a few minutes away.
