General provisions
- Tickets can be purchased with cash, debit (BA Maestro, Karanta) and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Diners, Activa, etc.) at the ticket offices.
- Tickets are sold and controlled via computer-controlled cash registers and magnetic readers. Visitors are obliged to “scan” their tickets at the checkpoints and to show the tickets to the authorized person if so asked.
- The ticket control system is carried out under video surveillance at the ski resorts operated by Žičnice Vogel Bohinj, d.d., which is also pointed out to ticket buyers at the ski resort entry stations and at the ski resort sales outlets. By purchasing a ski pass, the user has made himself aware of this fact.
- By conducting video surveillance of ski pass control, we do not interfere with the privacy of visitors and users of our ski resort, but only compare the video transmissions of individual ski passes based on the serial number of each ticket, and in doing so we comply with the legal provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
We recommend that visitors:
- check the weather and operating conditions at the ski resort before purchasing ski passes,
- learn about the procedures of ski pass confiscation in case of ski pass misuse,
- look at the information board before going to the ski slopes and choose the ski slopes that are suitable for them, their skills and their abilities,
- go to the slopes properly equipped.
- Tickets based on the current price list can be purchased at the ticket office at the lower or upper station of the cable car with cash, debit cards (BA Maestro, Karanta), and credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, Eurocard).
- Tickets are sold and controlled via a computer system. Visitors are required to present their ticket to an authorized person if so asked, despite the automatic ticket control.
- The ski ticket control system at the ski resorts operated by Žičnice Vogel Bohinj, d.d. is conducted under video surveillance, which is also indicated to ski ticket buyers at the entrance stations where video surveillance is in place. By purchasing a ski ticket, the buyer is familiar with this fact.
- By conducting video surveillance of ski pass control, we do not interfere with the privacy of visitors and users of our ski resort, but only compare the video transmissions of individual ski passes based on the serial number of each ticket, and in doing so we comply with the legal provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
- In the event of closure of slopes and suspension of operations due to worsening weather or technical malfunctions after purchasing a ticket, the consumer has the right to a proportional refund of the paid fare based on the operation of the facilities. Before purchasing ski tickets, please check the weather and operating conditions on the ski resort. Information is available at the cable car lower station.
- Advertising on facilities and equipment is subject to special agreement with Žičnice Vogel. Unauthorized advertising is prohibited. Removing advertising material will incur a charge.
- In case of any complaints, please contact the information office (ticket office) at blagajna@vogel.si or info@vogel.si +386 (0)4 572 97 21, or during the ski season, contact the ski resort supervisor.
- Events at the ski resort or Žičnice Vogel facilities are subject to agreement with the company's management.
Reimbursement of the purchase price
- In the event of an accident or injury to a skier, with the needed intervention of the rescue team on the ski slope, the company will refund the purchase price of the day ticket or the pro rata - unused part of the season ticket, up to the end of the season.
- On the basis of a medical certificate, the company will refund the pro-rata unused part of the season ticket purchase price until the end of the season. The purchase price will be refunded from the following day onwards.
- In the event that, due to bad weather, lack of snow or any other reason, none of the ski facilities are in operation and skiing is not possible on the ski slope, we will refund the purchase price of the day ticket dated on the day the ski slope was not in operation. Or, if the ski area is closed for a longer period, the unused part of the purchase price from the purchase of the season tickets until the end of the season.
- The purchase price is also refunded to the companion of the injured skier who left the ski resort early with the injured person.
Ticket misuse
- Tickets are non-transferable.
- Purchased tickets cannot be revalidated.
- Attempts or misuse of the ticket and violation of the rules of safe skiing are grounds for immediate confiscation of the ticket. The ticket confiscation is authorised by an official of the company. The ticket shall be taken away without a receipt.
- All employees of the Žičnice Vogel Bohinj, d.d. are authorised to confiscate the ticket in case of misuse of the ski pass. The ticket is collected without a receipt.
- Users of tickets with age discounts are required to show proof of their entitlement to these discounts at the time of validation (student card, identity card, passport, etc.).
- In case of misuse, the offender is obliged to pay the regular ski pass price for the current season.
- In case of abuse or violation of the rules of safe skiing, the company reserves the right to file a criminal complaint against the offender or to report the offence to a misdemeanour judge.
- In the case of ticket misuse, the offender involved in the accident is liable for the full cost of the rescue.
Ticket purchase and validity
- Each sold ski pass has its validity specified on it. Depot tickets, which are purchased either in pre-sale or in regular sales, have a validity period indicated at the bottom of the ticket.
- We will only exchange tickets that have NOT BEEN USED yet, with an additional charge for any difference in price between last season and this season and with a surcharge of EUR 3.00 per ticket - regardless of the type of ticket. WE DO NOT EXCHANGE TICKETS WITH AN OLDER DATE.
- 5/season tickets, 10/season tickets, season tickets with a picture and staff season tickets are not valid without a photo of the holder.
- A lost season ticket can be replaced upon payment of a replacement cost of EUR 5.00. The ticket will be replaced on submission of the receipt.
- Children under 6 years old in ski clubs, schools and courses with a coach or a leader who are not accompanied by their parents need a valid children's pass.
- Children under 6 years old can ski without a ticket only if they are accompanied by at least one adult and use the facilities together with him/her. Children under 6 years of age using the facilities independently are treated as children over 6 years of age and need a valid ski pass.
- Children over the age of 6 are treated as adults on all cableway installations and slopes.
- Upon presentation of appropriate proof of age or status, seniors (men and women) over 60, children aged 6 to 14.99, disabled persons and young people are entitled to a reduced price for the types of tickets specifically indicated in the price list. Tickets are valid only when accompanied by proof of age or status.
- Žičnice Vogel Bohinj, d. d. may refuse to issue a ticket on the basis of an invoice or voucher from its contractual partners in the event of unpaid obligations in previous seasons.
- Educational institutions (domestic and foreign), such as schools, kindergartens, etc., are eligible to buy or use tickets at the school group rate.
Operational safety, damage to ski slope and cableway installations
- Žičnice Vogel Bohinj, d.d. charges for all advertising on its facilities, equipment and car parks according to the price list. Unauthorised advertising on the facilities, installations and car parks is charged EUR 500,00 + VAT per advertisement. Cleaning of stickers or labels shall be charged at double the cleaning price.
- If the company finds that a visitor has damaged a ski lift or any other device on the ski resort, the person who caused the damage or his/her guardian is obliged to compensate for the damage. In the event of disagreement as to the value of the damages, the company reserves the right to value and claim the damages through the court.
- The company reserves the right to refuse access to the ski area to individuals and groups due to their previous violations of the rules of behaviour or safe skiing. The company denies access to the ski lifts and the ski area to drunk people, people under the influence of drugs and people who behave inappropriately. The company shall not be held liable for them or their behaviour.
- Smoking, open flames, dumping of cigarette butts and rubbish (due to the risk of fire on the cable installations routes) are prohibited on all cable car installations.
General provisions for the operation of cable installations
- During the ski season, the company may take individual ski lifts and ski slopes out of operation for technical, organisational, economic or a nature-related reason. In these cases, the company will reduce prices accordingly.
Transport of children and pets
- Children and pets are not allowed on the lifts in backpacks or on the chest.
- It is allowed to carry children up to 6 years old in the lap on the chairlifts. The responsibility for safety in such transport lies with the accompanying adult.
Insurance and liability
- Group leaders and instructors have a duty to ensure the safe skiing of the group they are leading.
- In the event of unsafe group management, the company will prohibit the group from continuing skiing on the ski slope without refunding the purchase price - the group's ski passes will be confiscated.
- By purchasing a ticket, the ticket holder is insured against bodily injury or damage to equipment or cargo when travelling on all cableway installations, if the damage is caused by the fault or negligence of the cableway operator.
- The company accepts no liability for personal injuries caused by failure to consider: conditions on the ski slope, the number of visitors, the weather, the quality of the snow, inappropriate driving, failure to observe the FIS rules, the lift operator's signs and instructions, insufficient physical fitness, inadequate sports equipment, skiing under the influence of alcohol or psychoactive substances, etc.
- The conditions for any claim for compensation against the company are the presentation of a valid ski pass on the day of the injury and the accident report of the supervising authority.
- In the event of an accident on the ski slopes, the company reserves the right to initiate criminal or misdemeanour proceedings against the person responsible.
Parking and use of parking spaces
- Parking or use of the parking spaces is free of charge - drivers are obliged to follow the instructions of the traffic wardens.
- Parking is strictly prohibited on all access roads and private properties.
- The company accepts no responsibility for parked vehicles.
Ski schools, training, competitions
- The organiser of an event or competition on the ski slope must notify the administrative unit of the Department of Administrative Internal Affairs at least 7 days in advance. The organiser must obtain a permit (consent) for the use of the ski slope from the ski slope operator in advance, which can be obtained from the company's administration. A part of the permit must be handed over to the ski slope manager before the start of the activity.
- The organiser of the event, training and competition must, at his own expense and with his own wardens, secure the part of the ski slope used for the event, training or competition and physically separate it from the recreational areas.
- Before the start of the event or competition, the organiser must provide its own ambulance service, doctor and wardens. It is recommended that competitors and event participants are insured.
- Organisers of competitions, training sessions or other events that require any of the ski slope's facilities to operate outside the ski slope's regular operating hours are obliged to provide, at their own expense, an ambulance service, a doctor and ski wardens, just like everyone else.
- Ski schooling at the Vogel Ski Resort can only be carried out by entities that have obtained prior approval from the ski school operator. Any ski school providers who do not have this permission will be removed from the ski area and will be liable to the forfeiture of all ski passes and to a report to the relevant inspectorate.
Specific provisions on safety and order on ski slopes
- On the ski slope, the skier is obliged to follow the instructions of the security service, the lift staff and the ski wardens, as well as the orders of all warning signs on the ski slope and the FIS rules.
- It is PROHIBITED to ski in contravention of the FIS rules and the provisions of the Public Ski Area Safety Act, and to cut in line in front of the lifts. Violations may be punished by immediate confiscation of the ski pass without compensation. The withdrawal of the ticket is authorised by an official of the company.
- Skiing is PROHIBITED on closed slopes marked with a " SKIING PROHIBITED " sign and on terrain closed by marking tape, netting or other signs on the ski slope.
- ABSOLUTE PROHIBITION applies to crossing protective fences, with or without skis, as these restrict the ski slope over precipices and various types of (including snow) overhangs, precipices and dangerous places.
- It is also forbidden to ski in the forest and on mountain pine.
- Each skier must choose the terrain according to his/her skiing knowledge and ability. In the event that an authorised person of the company finds that a ski resort user does not ski well enough for the terrain chosen, we reserve the right to remove such skier from the terrain. In the event that special transport is required to remove the skier from the piste, the skier shall also be liable to pay the cost of the special transport.
- The ambulance and first aid services are available at all times when the ski lifts are in operation and can be contacted from all marked points. Only groomed ski slopes and open ski slopes are under the control of the ambulance service.
- Skiing is not allowed on the lift routes. Lift lines may only be crossed at specially marked points.
- Walking and sledding are not allowed on the ski slopes.
- Leashed or unleashed dogs are not allowed on ski slopes.
- Snowmobiles are not allowed on the ski slopes, except for company use (delivery, rescue).
- Recommendations for safe skiing are part of the terms and conditions of Žičnic Vogel Bohinj, d. d..
Transport of luggage, cargo and pets
- Personal luggage up to 15 kg is transported free of charge (suitcases, backpacks, bags, skis, etc.).
- Carriage of freight over 15 kg by cable car is charged according to the price list.
- Cable car transportation of paragliders is charged according to the current price list of the company.
- Cable car transport of appropriately secured dogs will be charged according to the price list.
- Transport of material is carried out by cable car. It will be charged according to the current price list. Transportation must be arranged in advance with the technical manager or at the information office at the lower cable car station.
- The company will not be held liable for the untimely delivery and transport of improperly packed cargo (damage, frost, etc. ). The cargo must be properly packed and ready for transport on the cableway and protected against theft, otherwise it must be accompanied by the owner or the owner's representative.
